Friday Free For All

Today is a hodge podge of various things from the last week:

April 10-15 201302

Thunderstorm…

April 10-15 201303

…those are our rain barrels sitting in the driveway, waiting for a good pressure-wash on their insides. Here, their outsides are getting a good once-over.

April 10-15 201308

I made a loaf of bread to go with a tasty ploughman’s lunch. This is what the dough looked like after sitting overnight. That’s the plastic wrap on top.

April 10-15 201309

Another shot of Gary on Fast Gary.

April 10-15 201319

Greenies in the beds around the house.

April 10-15 201321

April 10-15 201320

Yay!

Yay!

April 10-15 201324

Moggy, doing what he does.

April 10-15 201325

Robin!

April 10-15 201330

The front porch was awfully messy all winter…

April 10-15 201331

…so I fixed it up a bit. Eventually, I’d like a couple of Adirondack chairs here, but for now, our crappy lawn chairs’ll do.

April 10-15 201329

When I feed and water Murray in the barn, I make it a point to carry one thing down from there to the house. So far, we’ve got this.

April 10-15 201354

To top off the week, I had received my contributor copies of a journal that’s published a short story of mine…

April 10-15 201355

…here it is! If you’d like to order a copy, you can do so here.

And that’s it. Enjoy your weekend. We’ve still got lots to do around here, so see you next week!

What a busy week! Nice to see the rain and no snow. We’re still behind you, of course. I did buy two hyacinths at the grocery store for Mum and my Aunty. Now the blooms are done and they have gone to a friend to be put into her garden once the earth is warm enough.

I love the rug that Moggy is lying on; the colours are gorgeous.

I drooled over the photo of new leaves, too. But our buds are swelling, so there’s still hope . . .
