Friday Free For All
6July 19, 2013 by Kriscinda Lee Everitt
Holy shit, it’s hot. Cray-cray hot. But that didn’t stop us from sweating it out in the garden this morning. I wrangled the tomatoes and pulled out most of the zucchini plants, what with all the bacterial wilting going on (surely there must be a death metal band out there called Bacterial Wilt…). Also, the pole beans support finally snapped under the weight of the bean plants (live and learn), so we rigged up a better, stronger support that should serve our purposes until the end of the season.
Captive Bolt Pistol hasn’t arrived yet, but I did manage to snap a few pictures of our ever-elusive resident fawns, Bill and Jeff.
And here’s some pics around the garden…
And your metal for this Friday is really your metal for next Friday. If you’re in Pittsburgh, you should definitely head on over to the 31st Street Pub next Friday to see Big A’s band, Iron Crown, play with the Motorpsychos and KY’s Scent of Remains. The FB event page is here.

Going to try and make the show next Friday. I have plans for one night over the weekend and not which night my friend has picked. I’ll see if I can make it Saturday so I can do this on Friday.
That’d be awesome! =D
Sorry to hear of your blight, but truly, your garden is SO impressive! I can’t believe it’s only been a few days !! since you were posting about building frames and lugging dirt . . . Fantastic to see the harvest forming up, isn’t it? ~ Linne
Yeah, the whole blight thing could have been worse, and really, it’s our first year. we sort of expected at least one massive disaster, and since we managed to avoid a few others since first lugging that dirt around, if this is the worst that happens, we’re doing fine. =) Now we know what to work to avoid next year. =D
Your garden’s looking great :)
Thanks! =D
